About myFAVE Camp

2024 is the beginning of year 7 for myFAVE camp. myFAVE was created by a parent of a student with special needs in collaboration with a special educaiton teacher.  This amazing parent was looking for a summer camp for her son. After speaking with Nicole Fusaro (28+ years as a special education teacher) together they created a summer camp.  myFAVE started off geared towards students with special needs to help promote social skills, independence, money skills, cooking, age-appropriate social outings, typical peer relations and so much more.  We are now a full inclusion camp and welcome both typical peers, siblings, neighborhood friends, and those with special needs.

myFave is a 1:4 ratio with staff who have experience working with students with both populations: typical and special needs.  We have have a variety of volunteers to help with peer relationships and social skills. More importantly, the peers come on their own terms because they genuinely enjoy hanging out with their friends.
